One Vendue Range
Charleston, South Carolina

Site Development

One Vendue Range is located adjacent to the award-winning Charleston Waterfront Park and overlooks Charleston Harbor. One of the largest and most ambitious residential projects undertaken on the peninsula, One Vendue Range is an acre and a half and includes 110,000 square feet of living space at a cost of 50 million dollars to construct.

Working in conjunction with East West Partners, Schmitt Walker Architects and Mayor Joseph P. Riley and his team, DesignWorks designed three distinct gardens and a maze of streetscapes, which have become key to the success of the project.

Above the parking structures, two private rooftop gardens were designed for the spaces between the main building structures. These "Charleston Gardens" were designed to provide lush intimate spaces for privacy as well as places for small gatherings. The third garden surrounds the central building, an art gallery, and provides space for pedestrians to pause while strolling the new tree-lined brick sidewalks. The traditional Charleston palette that was used helps all of these gardens to feel at home in Charleston.
