Turlte Point Golf Clubhouse
Kiawah Island, South Carolina
Master Plan
The Turtle Point Clubhouse was built in 1999 replacing an earlier, outdated clubhouse as part of a comprehensive renovation of the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course located at Kiawah Island, SC.
The new clubhouse was relocated to a more appropriate site to take advantage of golf course views . The grading, parking lot and bag drop areas were designed to minimize the loss of existing trees and native vegetation. A golf school building was included along with a re-designed practice area. Design elements included: retaining walls, steps, planting, lighting, irrigation and site graphics.
The golf course and clubhouse renovation were completed on time and under budget. They now are a great compliment to the Kiawah Island resort experience.
