Award Winning Environmental Master Plan

Located on the southwestern tip of Hog Island in Mt. Pleasant, Patriots Point flourishes as a one of the most popular visitor destinations in South Carolina. In addition to the golf course and athletic facilities, Patriots Point contains substantial undeveloped acreage. In conjunction with Ballantine Environmental Resources, DesignWorks created an Environmental Master Plan for the undeveloped portions of Patriots Point.

This master plan acted as a blueprint for sustainable development techniques. The scope of the project demonstrates how sustainable development can occur on this property if planned land uses are assigned and limited to appropriate environmental areas. The master plan identifies the existing environmental conditions, the environmental sensitivity of various areas for development and recommends the best management practices for planned development activities.
