Masterplan

Situated on the Charleston neck along the Ashley River, Magnolia will be the largest infill brownfield development in Charleston’s history. DesignWorks was hired to help further the vision and develop a block plan and design principles for this 220 acre urban mixed-use community.

DesignWorks worked with Magnolia to establish an appropriate framework for great public spaces and guidelines for vertical development to ensure that this vision is achieved over the life of the site development. With a focus on sustainability and green building techniques, Magnolia is seeking LEED Platinum certification.

Once complete, Magnolia will offer grand shopping streets, multi-family residences, a waterfront hotel, a marina and boat basin and number of parks including one along the entire Waterfront.
